We have all found ourselves upset or disappointed by something someone else said or did. For some of us, this happens often. The concern is not what we feel, but how we deal with what we feel.
Our own reaction to a problem can be more harmful to us than the situation itself. Sometimes we can be the dealer of our own poison.
Have you ever found yourself repeating the story over & over again of how you were hurt, mistreated, or disrespected?
Well, if you answered yes---you should consider serving up something else than doses of what amounts to poison to your very own soul.
Every time you talk about it, every time you think about it--------You not only make it worse, but you experience it again & again.
Yes, you can CHOOSE something else.
I take my queue from a bible scripture found in Philippians 4:8. My paraphrased version is "See the Lovely instead of the Ugly". This simple phrase or a similar one can remind you to CHOOSE to see the upside or lessons learned so you can move fast towards your goals and activities instead of letting the frustration pull you into a spiral of emotions that can distract and cause more pain.
1. Select my mantra or pick your own.
2. Put the mantra where you can see it.
3. Read & repeat when necessary.
4. You may take as many doses of this as needed.
